The back cover blurb

With the pending blog hop just weeks away I thought it would be fun to share with you all the back cover blurb to my first novel Questionably Human.

Being an Independent Recovery Agent is simple: Receive a recovery order, find whatever or whoever is missing, return person or item, and receive payment.

It has always been that simple for Keva, until she receives an obscure order that promises a payday large enough to retire. However, the words “I am not human,” echoing through a dark room will catapult Keva into an adventure that risks more than her life…it will risk her heart.

Remember the Science Fiction Romance Brigade Blog Hop is June 22, 2012 Mark your calendars! (Rumor has it prizes and give aways will be happening and the winners will get entered into a grand prize drawing for a Kindle e-reader!)  Come join the fun! I just became psychotically ambitious

Well at least that is what you may think of me when I outline the rest of my year writing goals for you. Even I am a little daunted by what I have planned, but things in the background, which I don’t talk about here, are beginning to be a reality for me. A future that seemed so far away is now only mere months and that means my life is going to dive bomb into another chapter of its own.

So with chaos of real life looming around me I have some serious writing challenges that I have set for myself. (The following is even crazier than my new year’s resolutions).

The first is obviously getting Questionably Human published. I love this story and even though it is my first attempt at getting a novel published (and it has been rejected) I have not abandoned this novel. I have amazing help right now and am learning as much as I can soak up about this whole process. I want to see this book become a reality.

Now for the future of my writing:

Well I have my Ravenhold novels (yes novels) that are absolutely bombarding my imagination right now. The Serpent’s Kiss is the first planned novel…there is already a second planned. ;)   My goal is to get this first book finished completely in the next couple of months so I can bring you chapters faster and then edit it to a finished product. The finished book I have planned to officially self publish in January.

Next is using Camp wrimo and Nanowrimo to complete 3 more first drafts of novels that I have outlined. June, August, and November will each give me a new novel that will be taken to completion and polished for publication.

Now to clear up a thought I worry you may be having right now; I don’t tell you any of this to brag, I tell you all this because the pressure of you knowing keeps me motivated to get this done. Putting these new goals in writing and telling someone about them keeps me from doubting myself, which I admit to you in muffled voice, can happen rather easy.

So with that worry put to rest I finish to say Thank you for all the amazing people who have entered my life because of this journey and I hope you have taken inspiration from me as I have from you.

I’m still around

Been busy.

Chapter 2 is coming along nicely for those of you following Ravenhold. I am very happy with its progress so far and in about 2 weeks I hope you enjoy where chapter 2 has taken Rhyn and her wolf, Riak.

I am also beta reading again. This time a YA novel. So far I am impressed with the versatility of this author, he has definitely become an idol for me. ;)

I have joined the Science Fiction Romance Brigade and I am getting ready to participate in their blog hop in June, keep watch for updates as this gets closer. It should be a blast with possible prizes and a lot of wonderful sci-fi romance authors getting time in the spot light. (click on one or both of the SFRB links in the margin to check them out).

My novel has not been shelved instead it is ambitiously going through a detail oriented group of beta readers (who I just cannot thank enough for their time on this) and a possible concept cover could be in the works for it. I have been batting around the idea of self publishing this one…but truthfully that is a topic for another day.

That about sums up what I have been up to, hope all is well with you.
